The On-line Guitar Archive (OLGA) was the first Internet library of guitar and bass tablature, or 'tabs'. There does need to be a huge overhaul of the music industry and the rights of the legal owner of individual songs or music being respected and enforced, but its prob way too late now especially with the tech/Internet giants control of political policy for their own benefit (see facebook basically holding the entire country of Australia to ransom over news feeds).
Regarding Youtube it has always surprised me that the record companies themselves have never come down hard on them in the past over all the unoffical, basically pirtate uploads of songs and entire albums.
